On July 15th from 9am to 11am you can learn to fish at Laurie Park in Grand Lake.

Get “hooked” on fishing and join us for a free Learn to Fish program. This program is designed for beginners and those looking for an opportunity to test their casting skills and expand their knowledge of Nova Scotia freshwater sport fish. Participants must be at least 7 years of age, and those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All fishing equipment will be provided. Bring outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather conditions, sturdy footwear, a hat, and sun block. Sponsored by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources. Pre-registration and confirmation from the park is required in order to attend. To pre-register contact the park at (902) 861-1623 or visit the Park Office.
